The ten members of the group NOUPAGAGNON B are married women who average 45 years of age and three children each. They all live in traditional families in KOLOKOBA, a village of Sikasso (3rd administrative region of Mali).

They partnered with the Yoro Yiriwaso microfinance institution to sustain their farming activities during the rainy season. This is their 7th farming loan with Soro Yiriwaso, and all past loans were correctly repaid.

AWA grows groundnuts, rice, maize, and peppers.She is sitting first from the left in the photo. Awa will use her loan to buy inputs and to pay for the cost of plowing one hectare of land.

After the harvest, the crops are sold in the village to a clientele consisting of both men and women.

Awa expects to earn an average profit of 200,000FCFA per campaign. This will allow her to repay her loan and to help her husband with the daily expenses.
Les dix membres du groupe NOUPAGAGNON B sont des femmes mariées ayant une moyenne d’âge de 45 ans et 3 enfants et vivant toutes dans des familles traditionnelles à KOLOKOBA, un des villages de la 3ème région administrative du Mali (SIKASSO).
Elles collaborent avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de mener à bien leurs activités agricoles pendant l’hivernage.
Elles sont à leur septième prêt de campagne agricole avec l’institution et tous les prêts précédents ont été correctement remboursés.
Les spéculations cultivées sont entre autre l’arachide, le riz, le mais et le piment avec AWA 1ère personne à gauche de la photo position assise, Avec son prêt, elle compte acheter des intrants et payer les frais de labours pour entretenir 1 hectare.
La production est vendue au niveau du village après la récolte à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes.
Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 200 000FCFA par campagne.
Ce bénéfice lui permettra de payer son prêt et aussi d’aider son mari dans les dépenses quotidiennes.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
