A loan of $3,225 helps Andres to purchase additional massage tables and to make minor renovations to his new business space. He is hiring an additional staff member and relocating to a larger space to help accommodate an increased demand for services after a successful campaign with Google Deals and Living Social.
His business, JP’s Massage Therapy, previously operated out of a one-room shared space with no parking. He has selected a space that was previously a massage studio and is well-suited to his needs in that it will not be shared and has enough room and increased visibility.
While Andres envisions a future in which he would be able to work 100% of the time at his own business, he currently works for a school during the work week. He devotes his evenings and weekends to JP’s Massage Therapy Center. Andres adds to his vision by stating he hopes his business, one day, will have multiple employees and multiple locations throughout the Boston area.
