She has operated a business selling charcoal for the past six years. She sells from home to her neighbors. She faces a major challenge of the high cost of transportation in her business. She dreams of incorporating firewood into her existing business in the near future.
With the loan she is requesting she plans to purchase 10 sacks of charcoal for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access financial support.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
