She strives daily to provide a better future for her children.

Thanks to her spirit and drive to get ahead her economic activity is a stationery shop located at home. She spends about 9 hours daily selling her products. The objective of the loan is to invest in working capital to stock her shop with products like notebooks, pencils, copy books, staples, folders, crepe paper, reams of letter and legal size paper, erasers, books, stories, file clips, etc. so that in the not too distant future she can earn higher income.

Olga María de 45 años de edad, madre soltera con tres hijos que están bajo su responsabilidad, estudia en la Universidad y en secundaria. Ella se caracteriza por ser trabajadora, responsables, con ganas de superación personal. En sus ratos libre le gusta mucho disfrutar en familia les prepara platos típico de la región como “güirilas con cuajadas” ella lucha día a día para brindarles un futuro mejor a sus hijos.
Gracia a su espíritu y sus ganas de salir adelante tiene por actividad económica una librería ubicada en su casa de habitación. Actividad a la que dedica unas 9 horas diarias ofreciendo sus productos. El objetivo del crédito es invertir en capital de trabajo y surtir su librería con productos como: cuadernos, lapiceros, libretas, grapas, folder, papel crepe, remas de carta, legal, borradores, libros, cuentos, broches de archivo entre otros. Para que en un futuro no muy lejano pueda obtener mejores ingresos. Olga María agradece la ayuda que los inversionistas kiva les brindan a personas de escasos recursos y países pobre como es Nicaragua para tener un medio de trabajo digno.

Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere.
