Honorata
View original language description ↓
Mrs. Honorata is 63 years old and studied through her fourth year of secondary school. Currently she lives with 72 year old Don Julio Romero with whom she has one son who is studying in the university. She owns her own home, which fortunately has basic services (light, water, etc.), located on Bolognesi Street across from May 2nd plaza in the Yunguyo province.

She has a restaurant where she prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner which she sells to the workers of various institutions nearby everyday of the year. She has run the restaurant with her husband for the past 10 years.

Initially, she took out a $125 loan from the “Winay Marca” village bank in order to buy two sacks of rice and some oil. With this $350 loan which she will repay in 4 months, she will buy wholesale ingredients like rice, potatoes, beans, oil, and vegetables.

She is very grateful for her last loan as it helped her to improve her earnings. As a member of the village bank, she has learned to be responsible in her payments, and to continue working hard in order to support her son who is studying.
