Martha Lorena works teaching children as she is a primary school teacher, now with nine years experience. She is single and has three children, for whom she is responsible. She supports them fully in their development but she currently needs to improve the conditions of their home. So, she has come to "Ceprodel" to benefit for a loan that she will use to buy bricks, cement and zinc and to pay for transport and labour costs. This will give provide better conditions in her home.
Martha Lorena es una mujer dedicada a la enseñanza principalmente de los niños, ya que su profesión es maestra de educación primaria, con 9 años de desempeñarse como docente, es soltera, con 3 hijos menores de edad a su cargo, a quienes les da todo el apoyo para su desarrollo ,actualmente tiene una necesidad de mejorar las condiciones de su vivienda, por eso visito a ceprodel para ser beneficiada con un financiamiento el que utilizaría en la compra de bloques, cemento, zinc, transporte y mano de obra, la que le brindara mejores condiciones en su vivienda.
This loan is administered by Centro de Promocion del Desarrollo Local (CEPRODEL), one of Kiva’s larger partners in Central America. Founded in 1991 and based in Managua, Nicaragua, CEPRODEL specializes in the development and funding of housing cooperatives for traditionally marginalized communities, the provision of microfinance services to small businesses, and the promotion of innovative renewable energy projects. In addition, unlike many microfinance institutions in the area that have chosen to avoid the rural areas of the country due to the increased financial risk, CEPRODEL provides financial services to numerous clients in the agriculture and livestock industry. Supporting a borrower through CEPRODEL means contributing to the promotion and sustainability of this important work in Nicaragua.
