Rom is 38 years old. She is married and resides with five children in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in cultivating rice and fattening up animals for more than ten years, earning approximately $3 daily. Her husband runs the business of purchasing cattle to resell. He earns about $7 each day. Two of her children are employed in a garment factory. They earn about $7 per day.
In order to improve her farming process, Rom is requesting a loan of $1,500 to purchase cattle to use for tilling her farmland. This purchase will help her reduce her farming expenses and grow rice faster. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children complete higher education. She also wants to build a new house as soon as possible.
