A farmer who grows rice on one hectare area and comes from Pursat Province,Sampov Meas district, Mas is a widowed mother of five children. Aged 41, she still needs to support some of her children as they are still in school. She has been with this business for 30 years and is able to earn up to 33,300 KHR per day.
Mas, a sixth-time borrower with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner), has utilized her past loans wisely to manage her business and the necessary demands in her family. Now, she is seeking a new loan of 4,000,000 KHR in order to buy rice seed, cows, four sacks of potash, and to pay for reaping fee. She also plans to buy a decent motorbike for commuting in her family. She truly believes that she can make triple income from her business, earning more than before.
