Miriam Luisa
Miriam, 25, is single and lives in the city of Pisco with her parents. She's a very friendly, hardworking, and enthusiastic person with a great desire for self-improvement. Unfortunately, because she lacked the financial resources and had to work from a young age to help her parents, Miriam hasn't been able to study business as she would have liked. In her free time she likes to play sports, and sometimes she cooks a delicious Carapulcra con Sopa Seca [a spicy Peruvian stew] to share with her family.

On her own initiative and with a lot of effort and dedication, Miriam works in her small business renting Internet connections. She has approximately five computers and she offers service in a small space in the center of town. Miriam works approximately 12 hours every day, and she thinks it's going well for her because of her good prices and the friendly way she treats people.

Miriam's very grateful to the Kiva lenders because thanks to their help she'll be able to buy a monitor and two CPUs. She wants to update and increase the number of computers in her Internet cafe so she can continue working and making the effort to realize her big dream of being able to study for a profession.
