Victoria's Group
In this Group: Victoria , Stella , Patience
Victoria is a member of the "God is Able" group. She has been a client of ID-Ghana for three years and has taken out four previous loans. She is a tenacious mother who works intensely for the well-being of her two children. She is the motor that drives this tireless group, who sells fish, foodstuff, stationery, biscuits, as well as toffee.

The new injection of business capital will help buy two cartons of tuna fish, since her clients have increased considerably. With the previous loans she was able to improve her family's living conditions and meet one of her short term goals: to pay her children's school fees in full.

Together with Victoria are two other members of the group, all very dedicated, with wishes to get ahead. They need a total amount of 1,800 GHS to realize improvement in their businesses.

About ID Ghana

ID Ghana is a microfinance NGO that provides financial and social services to underserved urban communities in Accra. This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
