Mwajumbe is married and lives with her husband Rashid, she’s very happy with him. She owns a small, well-stocked grocery store where she works very hard every day. She’s had her small business for three years. Thanks to her work and sacrifice, it’s been growing. She also relates that her husband always helps her in everything he can, which also helps her business to grow. Mwajumbe requests the loan to buy green vegetables, tomatoes, potatoes, onions and other products needed to stock the store to continue growing and providing customers with everything they need.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
