Oeun, age 51, is a married mother of three children, one of whom is still in school. To strive for a living, she has been farming rice on five hectares and growing cassava on six hectares of farmland as the main source of the family’s income while her husband works as a paid laborer. She has been involved with this business in Ponhea Krek district of Kampong Cham province for a long time.

Oeun has never been with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) before. Now she is requesting a loan of 3,500,000 KHR to buy fertilizer and pay for labor to plant her cassava. She hopes to have a high yield and earn a larger income.
