Deddeh is 34 years old and lives in the West point area, which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She is single with two children aged 9 and 6 which live at home and attend school. Deddeh completed 12th grade. She described herself as a hardworking woman. For the past six years she has been operating her own shop in the local market selling rice, oil, flour, sugar, etc. She sells six days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. She likes her business because she has more customers, and she started this business with money given to her by mother. She used a shared taxi every time to get her goods at her business shop. She is requesting a loan to purchase goods for her business. She plans to build a house for her children. She likes to say thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia.
