Joanna is 26 years old and lives at the West Point area, which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She is living together with her fiance, who is a carpenter. They have two children, aged 10 and 3, who live at home and one is in school. She described herself as a hardworking person.
For the past two years she has been running a table where she sells fish in the local market. She likes her business because of the ways customers buy from her, and she started this business with money given to her by her fiance. She walks every day to buy her ingredients.
She is requesting a loan to purchase more fish for her business. She plans to buy a piece of land and build a house. She likes to say thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia to enable small-business people to increase their business volume.
