The "Unidas por Siempre" communal bank will start its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Copacabana regional office. It is made up of eight members and led by a board of directors, of which Basilia is the chair.

The businesses that the members of the communal bank carry on are varied, and include: weaving, sale of empanadas, sale of salchipapas (fast food made with potatoes and hot dogs), sale of milk, and sale of food.

The loan they will take out is to benefit small business owners such as Basilia. She states that this is the first time she has belonged to Pro Mujer, joining at the invitation of a field representative of the institution, who came to visit her at her home.

Currently she has a business selling food, and says that she learned this business several years ago with advice from her family. The loan she will take out now is to update her equipment (purchase of pots), which she will acquire in the markets in the city of El Alto, and later install in her cooking area.

This form of work allows her to generate income to support her household as best she can, as she is married and has two children. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she answers that she likes the health workshops and the credit.

La A.C. “UNIDADAS POR SIEMPRE” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Copacabana, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Basilia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de comida, tejido, venta de tucumanas, venta de salchipapa, venta de leche, venta de comida.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Basilia es integrante, ella indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de un promotor de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de comida; da a conocer que este negocio lo aprendió hace varios años por el concejo familiar.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para la renovación de herramientas (compra de ollas) que adquirirá de las ferias de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente a la lo instalará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella es casada y tiene dos hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta las capacitaciones en salud y crédito.
