Gohar's story

Gohar is 43 years old and lives with her husband in the village of Geghamavan, which is in Sevan area. Gohar has a son, who is now in his military service in the Armenian Army, and a daughter who is married and lives with her own family, separately from her parents.

Gohar’s husband is policeman and works in the Sevan police agency. Gohar is an accountant, but she has never worked in her profession. After getting married, Gohar and her husband started an agricultural business. They have a plot of land near their house and grows vegetables which Gohar sells in the Sevan fruit markets. Gohar also has a large barn for animals where she breeds cows, sheep and pigs.

Gohar is a very hardworking person and she likes her agricultural occupation. With the profits from her farming, Gohar meets her family's needs and from time to time she helps her daughter’s newly created family.

Gohar is very happy and decided to increase her animal breeding. For this she needs a loan to buy three young calves and fodder for her animals. She hopes to receive more profits from animal breeding in future. This is Gohar's first loan with Kiva, and she hopes that the Kiva loan will bring success to her agricultural business.
