The group has eight members and is run by a board of directors with Adriana as its president. The businesses that the members of the bank are engaged in are varied and include: selling electrical appliances, running a public telephone service, selling wool blankets, selling toys and making blankets from vicuña wool.

The loan that they are taking out will benefit these micro-businesswomen. Adriana is a member of this group. She says that she has been a member of Pro Mujer for five months, having joined through an invitation from one of the institution's loan officers who visited her at home. Adriana currently has a business selling wool blankets. She started this business with a small amount of capital and was able to buy more stock with money from Pro Mujer loans.

Adriana is taking out this loan to increase her capital. She will buy wool blankets wholesale at the street markets and then re-sell them from her sales location. This work allows her to make income with which to support her household. Adriana is single and has one child.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Adriana replied that she likes the loans, the training and the health services.

La A.C. “SOCIEDAD EMPRENDEDORA” iniciará el segundo ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Los Andes, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Adriana es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de accesorios de electricidad, atención de punto VIVA, venta de mantas de lana, venta de juguetes, elaboración de mantas de vicuña.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Adriana es integrante, ella indica que hace cinco meses que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una asesora de la institución que la visito en su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta mantas de lana; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió con un pequeño capital pudo comprar con los préstamos sacados en Pro Mujer.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra manta de lana) que adquirirá de las ferias, por mayor, y posteriormente lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella es soltera y tiene un hijo.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el crédito, las capacitaciones y el área de salud.
