Mercedes de 38 años de edad, se dedica a elaboración y venta de calzado y bisutería como aretes, pulseras y collares; ella vive en Cartagena, con su cónyuge y sus 3 hijos en las edades de 10 a 15 años. Su oficio artesanal lo inició desde hace 3 años, por la necesidad de mejorar los ingresos de su hogar. Sus clientes principales son las droguerías y misceláneas, a las cuales les vende sus productos a crédito y con una frecuencia diaria, desde las 8 de la mañana hasta las 8 de la noche y realiza sus compras de contado en el mercado de la ciudad donde encuentra sus insumos a muy buenos precios. En la actualidad Mercedes está aplicando a su primer credikiva para invertir en insumos como cuero, broches, pintura, hilos, agujas, suelas y accesorios para la elaboración de calzado y los artículos de bisutería (aretes, pulseras, collares). Con esto pretende mejorar sus ventas y sus ingresos, pues tiene como meta personal adecuar las instalaciones de su cocina, para sentirse mucho mas satisfecha.
