Zinnah is 49 years old and lives in Paynesville South, a suburb just outside Monrovia. The area one of the most heavily-populated areas of Montserrado county and has some of the country's highest living standards. Good roads, access to clean water, affordable rents and plentiful transportation options makes Paynesville South a popular place to live. Zinnah is a widow and has five children between 25 and 12 years of age. Only two of them are still enrolled in school, and he has earned a living for the last eight years by running a shop in the local market where he sells trousers, jeans, blouses and other clothing items. The main problem he faces is the rainy season, which means fewer customers and a smaller income. He says his business gains him respect and makes him proud, because he can take care of his family expenses. He is requesting a loan to buy more items to sell. His goals are to get three of his children through university-level education and then build a house.
