Jose is 58 years old. He lives in the city of Pucallpa, a city with a warm and welcoming climate. At the same time, it has beautiful tourist attractions and its residents are people of a happy and friendly character. Jose lives with his wife and together they have four children who are adults and for whom they have fought tirelessly to ensure they become good people. Due to their small economic resources, he was only able to study up to the fourth year of primary school but he would have liked to have a university career especially to study agricultural engineering.

Day after day, Jose works as a farmer. Currently he has planted Camu Camu which is a native fruit of the Peruvian jungle and has many healing properties, especially for diabetes. Jose works in his crops for around eight hours a day and with the fruit of his labor he can get his family ahead with much effort. Jose believes that he is moving forward because he is responsible and, above all, because he has a lot of desire to progress.

Jose is very thankful to the Kiva lenders since, thanks to the help they are providing, he will be able to buy organic and chemical fertilizers and be able to provide maintenance and irrigation to his crops. So he will be able to have a good harvest and be able to improve his income and, in this way, he will be able to keep working to realize his greatest dream: "To have more hectares to sow and improve his quality of life."
