Khadija is from the town of Samburu. She is married and works as a merchant. Khadija is the owner of a store where she's been working for four years. She says that she's making headway with the business, because she's attracted a good number of customers due to the fact that she always has a very well-stocked store. She is a very enthusiastic person who wants to keep growing and investing in her business so that she can help with the household expenses and continue to improve her business over time.
Khadija is requesting a loan to invest in dairy products, bread, vegetables and other products. This way, she can continue to provide her customers with a good variety of products and also attract new customers.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
