Saumu is married and has four children, three of whom attend school. For the past two years, she has operated a utensil and canvas rental business for weddings. She hires from home to her neighbors and passersby. Her major challenge in the business is high cost of transportation to her customers.
Saumu is requesting a loan from Yehu, which she will use to purchase more canvas and utensils for hiring to satisfy her clients. She joined Yehu to access loans to boost her business. She owns a house that has electricity but no piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family and school fees for her children.
