Najah is a 55-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and two school aged children. Najah has faced bad circumstances and lived in unpleasant financial conditions. This is why she works hard to show her perseverance of being able to enhance her family’s way of living and support her husband with the family expenses. In 2005, she started selling clothes. She has her own shop that is located at a very strategic point. She offers a great variety of clothes at fair prices. This will be her first Kiva loan and she expects to obtain great results. Today, she is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l to increase her merchandise and follow the new fashions. This is how Najah works every day to better develop her business and earn higher revenues.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
