Abu is 43 years old and married with 2 children, ages 2 years and 6 years. He runs a building materials business in Tombo Western rural area in Sierra Leone. One of his children is going to school. He has four additional dependents at home.
He has been in this business since 1998 and sells paint, nails, line, hooks and cement within a busy market area. He says that the main challenge to his business is delay in transporting his goods.
Abu requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase building material such as paint, nails, line, hooks and cement. He says that the extra income from this loan will help him to educate his children and increase his business. In the future, he would like to open another building material shop. He is grateful for your support.
