Marcelino
Marcelino’s married and has two children: a boy and a girl who are school age. He lives in a house he owns that has a living room, bedroom kitchen and bathroom. The house is adobe with cement floors and is located in the city of La Paz’s Bajo Tacagua zone.

He works as a cooperative taxi driver with his own vehicle. His route is from Achachicala and his stop is in the city of La Paz’s Tembladerani zone. His wife helps him with his work and also caring for the children. They both contribute to pay for utilities, food, clothing and their children’s education.

He needs the loan to pay to service his vehicle since it’s his only source of income. Marcelino’s dream is to own two vehicles and to improve his quality of life. This is his first loan request to Impro and Kiva.

Don Marcelino es casado y tiene dos hijos un varón y una mujer que están en etapa escolar, vive en la casa propia donde cuenta con un ambiente y se encuentra el dormitorio y la cocina, baño, la habitación es de adobe y el piso de cemento, la casa se encuentra ubicada en la zona de Bajo Tacagua de la ciudad de La Paz.
Actualmente trabaja de chófer con movilidad propia como trufi; el recorrido y ruta es desde la zona Achachicala, siendo su parada en la zona de Tembladerani de la Ciudad de La Paz y la esposa también ayuda en el trabajo y al cuidado de los hijos, ambos colaboran en el pago de los servicios, comida y vestimenta, y educación de sus hijos.
El crédito lo requiere para pagar el mantenimiento de su movilidad, ya que es su única fuente de ingreso.
El sueño de Marcelino es poder contar con dos movilidades y mejorar su calidad de vida.

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995.
