Juan Benedicto's story

Juan’s 38-year-old and is in a common law relationship; he has four children. He’s a hardworking person who supports his family. His main economic activity is car repair. He and his brother have a small auto repair shop where they repair various types of vehicles and they do very well. In his free time he also sells tree trunks that he extracts from the forests. He’s been a member of the “Miraflores” communal bank for several years and on this occasion he needs the loan to buy a hydraulic press.

Juan was born in the community of Mashuay and still lives in the same community where he was born. (The community of Mashuay is located in Challabamba District in Paucartambo Province within Cusco Department, Perú.)
