Rose is married and has three children, two of whom attend school. She also takes care of additional family members. She has a pharmacy business, which she has been operating for a few months. She generates additional income by selling charcoal to all categories of people on a retail basis.
She has applied for a loan of 500,000 UGX from MCDT-SACCO to buy more boxes of tablets, syringes, and syrups. Her major business challenges include transportation of boxes of drugs to her shop and thieves. She aspires to own a fully-stocked drug shop, to educate two children up to university level, and to build her own house. She resides in a rented house, and the family has access to electricity and piped water.
