Bintu is 39 years old and lives in West point, an area which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She is living together with her fiancée who is a carpenter. They both have two children who are 5 and 12 years old, and are in school and live at home. She described herself as a hardworking person, and for the past 7 years she has been running a shop where she sells plates, spoons, cook-spoons, cups, etc. in the local market. She likes her business because the customers buy from her. She started this business with money given to her by her fiancée. She walks every day to buy her goods since her shop is close to the local wholesales area. She is requesting a loan to purchase more inventories for her business. She plans to buy a piece of land and build a house. She would like to say thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia.
