MAHOUGNON 1 est un groupe de trois personnes, dont les membres résident dans le même quartier. La représentante du groupe, nommée Akouavi Elisabeth celle qui a la main levée sur la photo, est âgée de 50 ans. Akouavi Elisabeth n'a pas fréquenté l'école. Akouavi Elisabeth est mariée à un certain André. Le couple a trois enfants, tous scolarisés et à leur charge. Akouavi Elisabeth vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants. Le couple assure ensemble les charges de la maison. Pour subvenir à ses besoins, Akouavi Elisabeth vend des boules d'akassa (fait à base de maïs) depuis vingt cinq ans. Akouavi Elisabeth s'approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. Dans le but de renforcer son activité et de satisfaire la demande de sa clientèle, Akouavi Elisabeth s’associe avec les autres membres du groupe MAHOUGNON 1 pour consentir un quatrième crédit auprès de ALIDé. Les prêts antérieurs ont été bien remboursés.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000.
