Mary is 42 years old and lives in the West Point area, which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She is married and has three children between 18 and 20 years old; they live at home and are in school. Unfortunately, Mary's parent did not send her to school, but she is good at managing her business. Her husband is not working for now.
For the past 10 years, she has been selling charcoal in the local market. For now, she faces no serious problems. She spends six days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on her business. She started this business with a little income she received from her mother.
She is requesting a loan to purchase more charcoal for her business. She hopes to build a house. She would like to say thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia by enabling small business people to increase their business volume.
