Prisca sells meals. She has a restaurant and it's one of the most visited local places. She has been selling meals for many years and is very dedicated to her activity. Prisca prepares different types of very rich dishes and she also sells a variety of soft drinks. Each day, she sells from 50 to 100 meals. On festival days, she sells even more, plus from 40 to 50 soft drinks.
Prisca lives in a rental apartment on the 2nd floor above her restaurant. With great effort in her work, she has acquired an urban lot where she intends to construct her own house. The capital she has at present is insufficient to cover construction costs. That's why Prisca is requesting a loan, to carry out all this activity and, thus, be able to live in her own house.

About Housing Loans
Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
