Ibrahim lives in the Mombasa area of Coast province, Kenya. He is married and has four children, three of whom are going to school.
He sells horticultural produce, e.g. mangoes, plums, passion fruit, oranges etc. He has been operating this business for four years. Apart from this business, he earns a salary as a public service vehicle driver.
Ibrahim learnt about Milango through a friend with the aim of accessing credit to improve his business operations. The main challenges he faces is the scarcity of stock and high transport costs.
Ibrahim is applying for a loan of 21,050 Kenyan shillings to buy more fruit to sell. His extra income from the loan will be added to the savings to expand the business, open other branches and pay for school fees.
His future plan in five years time is to move to other bigger income generating activities.
