Patricia is a married woman and has been blessed with four kids, all of whom still attend school. She lives in her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
Patricia has an M-Pesa business (money transfer via mobile phones) which has been operational for over one year. She mentions stiff competition as a challenge in the business. With this 50,000 Kenyan shilling loan, she wants to add to her float to facilitate her business. She joined Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
