Mwanamisi is a married woman living together with her husband and three children. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees for the children.
For the past four years, she has operated a firewood selling business. She sells from home to her neighbors and passersby. She faces a major challenge of high cost of transportation. She dreams of expanding her business to being a wholesale supplier of firewood in the village.
With the Kshs 40,000 she wants to purchase more firewood for resale to avoid under-stocking. She decided to join to Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
