Justine lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is single with three children, and two of them attend school. She is not looking after any other family member. She has been operating a small eating-place (restaurant) for the last 3 years, working seven days a week. She does not have an additional source of income.
She has requested a loan of UGX 300,000 from MCDT- SACCO to enable her to stock green bananas, rice, beans, peas and spices. Her challenges include limited capital. Her dream is to own a big restaurant. She joined MCDT for start-up capital. She rents a house without either electricity or piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees and rent.
