The comunal association "Los Angeles de Florida" began its fourth cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Central Focus of Senkata. It is composed of 8 partners and is directed by a directive board. Elizabet is the president. The businesses that the partners of the communal association bring forward are diverse. Some of them include the sale of burners and kitchen devices, sneakers, potatoes and dried potatoes, tucumana, American clothes, and helping on minibuses.

The loan they take out will benefit microbusinesses like the one where Elizabet works. She notes that for a year and a half she has worked with Pro Mujer, entering by the invitation of a friend who is a partner with the institution. Now she has a business selling potatoes and dehydrated potatoes, which gives her a knowledge of the business that she's learned over the years with her parents. She later decided to establish her own sales space. This form of work will permit her to generate resources to maintain everything possible in her home, as she is married and has two children.

When consulted, she said what she likes about Pro Mujer are the lessons about loans and health.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
