Rehema is married, and together with her husband, lives in their own house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
For years, she has operated a vegetable stall business, selling from home to her neighbors and passersby. She faces a major challenge of price fluctuations in her business, but she dreams of establishing a wholesale vegetable stall in the future.
With the 50,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase sacks of green vegetables, tomatoes, beans, wheat, rice, potatoes and onions. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
