A widow mother of three children from the Kror Kor district of the Pursat province, Norn is a farmer who grows rice on two hectares of land. She has been engaged in farming for 30 years and is able to earn about 32,000 KHR per day.
With VisionFund (Kiva’s partner), Norn is a fourth-cycled client who has repaid her past loans already. She utilized her past loans to support her living progressively. This enabled her to be able to afford to buy household items for her family also.
For this cycle, she is seeking a loan of 3,000,000 KHR in order to smooth her farmland for replanting. She very much hopes that she can grow her cash crops in a timely fashion and gain a high yield. This will provide more income, enabling her to better her lifestyle.
