The client lives in his own house with his family. He has had a small disco for eight years and has a lot of clients. People seek him out to liven up birthdays, weddings, coming-of-age parties, etc. With the profits that he obtains from work, he covers the home expenses.

He requests a loan in order to be able to buy replacement parts to fix the sound equipment he uses in his work. With the money he makes working, he does not have enough to cover these expenses. El cliente vive en casa propia con su familia, el tiene una pequeña discoteca desde hace 8 años tiene mucha clientela pues lo buscan para amenizar cumpleaños, bodas, quince años, etc. Con las ganancias que obtiene de su trabajo logar solventar los gastos de su hogar, el cliente solicita un crédito para poder comprar respuestos para arreglar el equipo de sonido que ocupa en su trabajo ya que con lo que gana no le alcanza para cubrir eso gastos y esa es su única fuente de trabajo y asi el seguira llevando lo necesario a su hogar.

This loan is part of a pilot project Apoyo Integral is launching in conjunction with several local NGOs to support at-risk youth and their families with funding from Kiva. This loan product is tailored to young people who find themselves in high-risk situations because they are located in areas affected by extreme violence. Loans are combined with vocational, technical, and financial training to help these young people develop business ideas that will help them generate income, reintegrate into society, and support their dreams of being productive and contributing members of society.   


Due to potential safety risks facing these youth, some of the loans are being disbursed to their parents in order to protect their identities. For the same reason, the faces of some Apoyo Integral borrowers may be blurred in photos. Apoyo Integral appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to provide much-needed support to at-risk Salvadoran youth.
