In order to satisfy her customers, and to increase her sales and earnings, Juliette is asking, together with the other members of the Ayidote group, for a fifth loan with Alide. The previous loans have all be re-paid.

Le groupe AYIDOTE est composé de trois personnes qui sont des cohabitantes. La représentante du groupe, nommée Juliette est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Juliette est âgée de 31 ans. Juliette a très peu fréquenté l’école. Juliette est mariée et a deux enfants, tous scolarisés. En dehors de ses enfants, Juliette a un autre enfant à sa charge. Juliette vit avec ses enfants et son mari. Juliette et son mari assurent ensemble les charges familiales. Afin d’assurer les diverses charges du ménage, Juliette exerce comme activité la vente d'igname et de haricot depuis sept ans. Juliette vend également des tissus de façon secondaire. Juliette s’approvisionne dans un un marché du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Juliette sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe AYIDOTE, un cinquième crédit auprès de ALIDé. Les prêts antérieurs ont été bien remboursés.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
