Mwanamisi is married and together with her husband they have four children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past 2 years, she has operated a coconut selling business, selling at wholesale to local neighbors. She faces a major challenge of the high cost of transportation in the business. Mwanamisi dreams of establishing a vegetable stall in the future.
With the Kshs 15,000 she wants to purchase sacks of coconuts for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
