Santusa
Santusa works raising cattle for milk production, which she then sells in her community. She also works in agriculture and floriculture as in this region the weather is mild and perfect for such activity. Her house is located in the Rio Abajo community, in the Mecapaca Sector of the province of Murilla, in the Department of La Paz. This is about an hour and a half from the city of La Paz.

She is applying for this loan in order to purchase feed for her dairy cattle and better seed which will improve the quality and quantity of her production of agricultural products. Santusa's goal is to increase the number of cattle she owns and increase her agricultural production. This is her third loan through IMPRO, and her second loan through Kiva.

About IMPRO

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
