Margaret is married and has four kids. Three of her kids still attend school, which is the reason for her hard work. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
She has been cooking and selling home made food for the past six years, selling to passersby and neighbors. She cited seasonality and theft as her challenges.
With the Kshs 20,000 she wants to purchase 2 bundles of wheat flour and cooking oil. Her dream is to see her children get a better education and become important people in the society.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
