Elsa is 48 years old, separated with 3 children. She lives in Clarin, Misamis Occidental. She owns and operates an agriculture operation to earn a living. She has been in her business for over 7 years and earns 10,000 PHP every month. She joined GDMPC in 2007, and now she has requested a loan of 14,000 PHP to purchase fertilizer, such as manure. Her hopes and dreams are to have a better future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
