Joshua lives in the Mombasa area of Coast province, Kenya. He is married and has three children, all of whom attend school. He owns a transport business, which he has been operating for six years. He offers transport service to the residents of Mombasa. He is also a scrap metal dealer.
He learned about Milango through a friend who invited him to the group. He joined with an aim of accessing credit, to improve his business operations. The challenge he is facing is inflation.
Joshua is applying for a loan of 21,100 Kenyan shillings (KES). He will use it to buy two tons of scrap metal for resale. The extra income from the loan will be added to his savings, to improve the living standard of his family. His plan for the future is to buy another motorcycle.
