She receives monthly income form the rooms she rents out in her house, which she uses to pay for food expenses and basic services.

She is requesting a loan to pay for a doctor's appointment, because she does not have health insurance. Susana's dream is to build more rooms in her house to increase her income and improve her quality of life. This is the second time that she has worked with IMPRO and the first time with Kiva.

Susana, es soltera y tiene un hijo el cual ya es independiente, vive ella sola en casa propia ocupando solo una habitación con paredes de ladrillo, la casa se encuentra ubicada en la zona Agua de la vida de la ciudad de La Paz.
Actualmente percibe ingresos mensuales de las habitaciones que alquila en su casa, ya que debe cubrir sus gastos de alimentación y pago de servicios básicos.
El crédito lo requiere para el pago de un control de salud ya que no cuenta con seguro médico.
El sueño de Susana, es construir más habitaciones para percibir más ingresos y de esta forma mejorar su calidad de vida.
Es la segunda vez que trabaja junto a IMPRO y la primera vez con KIVA.

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
