Marvin Antonio
Marvin Antonio, 57, is a single father of three children who are 22, 20 and 13 years of age. The two younger ones are still in his care and attending school. He’s from León, a place located in the western part of the country. Sadly, he was unable to study a university career due to the lack of economic resources. He was forced to start working at a very young age to help with household expenses. He strives daily to provide his children with a better future and to see him dream become reality: that they complete university.

Thanks to his enterprising spirit and his drive to get ahead, his economic activity is selling basic grains, oil, sugar, rice, beans, cereals, soap, detergent, soya, etc. from place to place. He spends about 10 hours daily in this business and does so happily.

The goal of the loan is to invest in working capital to stock his business so that in the not too distant future he will be able to earn higher income. Marvin Antonio is grateful for the support Kiva lenders provide to people of scarce resources and to poor countries like Nicaragua so they can have a dignified way of earning a living.

Marvin Antonio de 57 años de edad, padres solteros con tres hijos de 22, 20, 13 de los cuales los dos menores están bajo su responsabilidad y están estudiando. El es originario de León, lugar que está ubicado en la zona de occidente del país. Lamentablemente no puedo cursar una carrera universitaria por falta de recursos económico, se vio obligado a trabajar desde temprana edad para ayudar con los gastos de la casa, lo cual lo hace lucha día a día para brindarles a sus hijo un futuro mejor, y poder ver realizado su sueño como es que coronen una carrera universitaria.

Gracias a su espíritu de emprendedor y sus ganas de salir adelante tiene por actividad económica la venta de granos básicos, como aceite,azucar, arroz, frijoles, cereales, jabon, detergentes, soya actividad que la desempeña de forma ambulante, el dedica a su negocio unas 10 horas diarias. Actividad que la desempeña con mucho gusto. El objetivo del crédito es invertir en capital de trabajo y surtir su negocio para que en un futuro no muy lejano pueda obtener mejores ingresos. Marvin Antonio agradece la ayuda que los inversionistas kiva les brindan a personas de escasos recursos y países pobre como es Nicaragua para tener un medio de trabajo digno.
