Mercy is a married woman and has been blessed with three kids, who attend school. She lives at her own house which has electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is school fees. Mercy operates a poultry selling business, which has been operational for over 4 years now.
A major challenge in her business is disease outbreaks which cause the death of chicks. Mercy dreams of becoming a wholesaler of poultry in the future. With the Kshs 45,000 loan, she wants to purchase chicks and poultry feed. She joined Yehu to access loans for boosting her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
