Asha is a married woman with two children, both of whom still attend school. They live in their own house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
She has operated a goat-selling business for the past five years, selling at the market to her neighbors and passersby. She faces a major challenge of the high cost of transportation in her business. She dreams of expanding and becoming a big supplier of goats in the future.
With the KSHS 40,000, she wants to purchase goats for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
