Juana Luz
Juana, 51, lives in the city of Cañete, Imperial District, with her two children who she loves and are her main reason for living. She’s a very kind, hardworking, enthusiastic person who focuses all her efforts into moving her family forward since she’s both father and mother to her children. Sadly, due to the lack of economic resources and the need to start work at a very early age, Juana was unable to study the technical career of clothing design and clothes making. In her free time she likes to cook delicious ‘Carapulcra con Sopa Seca’ to share with her family.

On her own initiative and with much effort and dedication, Juana works as a field hand on a local agricultural estate. She works every day for about 8 hours and thinks that she does well because of the good way she carries out her duties and the kind way she treats others.

Juana is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the support provided she will be able to buy plastic and matting that will serve to roof the house. The roof is currently in poor state and the winter season is approaching so she needs to repair it so she and her family can have greater security and well-being. She will thus continue working to reach her greatest dream: to finish building her house.
